At West Arete, we are committed to leading by example in the business world. As a Certified Benefit Corporation since May 2016, we uphold the rigorous standards of social, environmental, and corporate governance – alongside global leaders making business a force for good.

In the latest 2022 B Impact assessment, we achieved a score of 96.8, far surpassing the median score of 50.9 typically seen in businesses. This achievement marks a consistent improvement over our past scores, with 90.3 in 2018 and 84.6 in 2016.

B Corp Certification is a designation that a business is meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability, and transparency on factors including employee benefits, environment, charitable giving, and community contributions. It’s more than just a business; it’s part of a global movement dedicated to using the power of commerce to make a meaningful difference in the world.

In order to achieve certification, a company must:

• Demonstrate robust social and environmental performance with a B Impact Assessment score above 80, along with passing rigorous risk reviews.
• Amend our corporate governance structure to account for the interests of all stakeholders, not just shareholders.
• Exhibit transparency by allowing information about their performance measured against B Lab’s standards to be publicly available on their B Corp profile on B Lab’s website.
